Masters Level Internship

.Psychological Assessment and Generalist Track

  1. This track is for anyone who is interested in potentially going on to become a psychologist and/or who wishes to practice as a generalist.

  2. You will work closely with our Assessment Program where you will learn how to conduct psychological screeners and assessments.

  3. Interns will about many therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.

  4. This track is also great for those uncertain of their special interest that want to get foundational skills in general therapy practice. 

Systemic Therapy Specialty Track

  1. This track is great for individuals wanting to work with individuals, children, couples, and families from a systemic perspective.

  2. Interns will work closely with our LMFT supervisors to learn about systemic therapy with a special focus on Attachment Based Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Reunification Therapy.

  3. While focused on systems this track also covers foundational and general therapy skills 

  4. This is a great option for those hoping to attain their LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.

Social Work and Case Management Specialty Track

  1. This track is for anyone who wishes to pursue not only general practice but also wishes to conduct intake screening and resource management for the community.

  2. You will work closely with a highly experienced LCSW who will provide you with both case management and clinical therapy.

  3. This track is great for anyone who wants to support community outreach efforts including our Food Pantry, while also keeping a clinical caseload and learning the foundational skills for general therapy practice.

  4. Interns in this track will also have the opportunity to work with our Bachelor’s level interns and help with the implementation of research and grants at Sun Point Foundation.
