His special interests include men’s mental health, adolescent concerns, and the intersection of identity and personal growth. Brendan also has experience supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, and depression, drawing on his education and training to help people develop healthier ways of understanding and responding to life’s difficulties. His background as both a student of philosophy and an intern therapist enriches his ability to support diverse populations with empathy and skill.
Brendan warmly welcomes individuals, couples, and families into his practice, creating an environment where people feel safe, valued, and respected. He is especially committed to making counseling accessible and meaningful for those who may feel uncertain about beginning therapy. Clients describe him as approachable and determined—a therapist who provides not only understanding but also encouragement to take steps toward meaningful change.
Outside of his counseling role, Brendan is active in mutual aid work and community activism, reflecting his dedication to autonomy, liberation, and creating the conditions for individual self-actualization beyond the clinical arena. He enjoys exploring philosophy to enhance his understanding of both clients and the world they inhabit, and in particular uses the psycho-political theory of Baruch deSpinoza as a lens through which to examine the relationship between power relations and individual well-being. These passions inform his perspective as a therapist, reminding him of the importance of connection, purpose, and growth both inside and beyond the therapy room.
