MEET AMY:
Amy Kauffman brings a passionate, persistent, and playful spirit to her work as a therapist. With a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis and extensive yoga teacher training, Amy integrates both evidence-based practices and holistic approaches that honor the mind–body connection. Her professional journey reflects a commitment to blending science with compassion, offering clients support that is both structured and deeply human.
At the heart of Amy’s counseling style is a client-centered and strengths-based perspective. She believes that every individual carries the potential for growth, and her role is to create a supportive environment where clients can recognize and strengthen their own resilience. Through this approach, Amy fosters a sense of empowerment, helping people identify their unique abilities while building new skills for navigating life’s challenges.

Amy specializes in working with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, late-diagnosed autism, perinatal mood disorders, OCD, stress disorders, and trauma. She is also passionate about couples therapy and has developed a strong interest in gerontology, supporting older adults and their families with care and dignity. Her expertise allows her to offer tailored interventions that meet clients where they are, while also preparing them for lasting change.
Deeply committed to inclusion, Amy warmly welcomes individuals, couples, and families into her practice. She understands that healing happens not only within the individual but also within relationships and communities. Clients often describe her as a steady and uplifting presence—someone who creates a safe, affirming space where people feel truly seen and valued, no matter their background or circumstances.
Outside of her counseling role, Amy finds joy and balance in her personal interests. She volunteers as a Master Gardener, tending to flowers and plants with the same patience and care she offers her clients. She also nurtures her love of music, having studied piano and vocal pedagogy, and finds mindfulness and focus through tennis. These pursuits enrich her life, providing creativity, renewal, and balance—qualities she brings back into her work with clients each day.
